Port HopePresident of Port Hope citizens' group Families Against Radiation Exposure (FARE), John Miller, discusses how they organized by asking simple questions about the effects of the nuclear industry. Their questions were so effective that a proposed refinery in the town was never built. John Miller cautions listeners to nonetheless be vigilant, as the government regulatory agency for nuclear is simply not designed or equipped to protect community health. Rather it is just a state risk management apparatus.  It remains the responsibility of common citizens to raise questions and protect our own interests.
