Renowned farm leader and philosopher Nettie Wiebe talks about how farmers are organizing internationally through groups such as the Via Campesina against exploitative international trade agreements. Michelle Beveridge describes the role of Oxfam in advocating for justice and equity for farm communities throughout the world, and Jim Robbins, a Saskatchewan farmer describes the solidarity links between farmers in Mexico and Canada.

This program is Part 4 of the Common Voices series. Common Voices is a collaboration between Making the Links Radio, the Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation (SCIC) and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).  Common Voices looks at issues impacting communities across the globe drawing links between, for example, the struggle to bring the AIDS pandemic under control in Mozambique and the issues that AIDS workers face in Canada.  This is an 10-part series that has been made possible through funding from CIDA.
