Democracy in Alberta PDF Print E-mail

The reality of democracy in Alberta is disconcerting.
If only 22 percent of the electrorate of  Alberta voted for the government, and 1.5 million people abstained from voting this questions the validity of Alberta Government to govern.
How can they both on behalf of the people of Alberta and the people of Canada make decisions as crucial as Tar Sands development and impact on the environment that affects all of us inside and outside of Alberta?
We all have cause to worry about the lack of a representative, accountable democratic process in Alberta.
